Oh, I forgot to mention you need a Rx to get the syringes at a drug
store too. All medications are significantly more expensive from a
Vet... the syringes cost less than half as much at Walmart, you save
about 25% buying insulin at Wags, and they deliver right to your door
for free... it arrives very well packaged, the little vile is packed
in a rather large styrofoam ice chest that's bonded with an aluminized
space blanket, it contains several reusable ice packs, and a chemical
temperature recorder that will indicate if the insulin has ever been
too warm. The first time I received the insulin I was shocked to see
a carton that could easily hold two desk top PCs... it also arrives in
about 12 hours of shipping... if shipped this afternoon it'll be at
your door first thing in the morning. I've never had any negative
issues with Wags or Walmart, the only problem was getting the Vet to
send the Rx, but both Wags and Walmart will see that the Vet complies,
it's illegal for a Vet to insist you buy from them, in fact the Vet
buys from a company like Wags does and then adds like 100% profit...
actually Wags buys from the same wholesaler that Vets buy from. Wags
takes far less profit and they arrange so that the drug is shipped to
you directly from the wholesaler. The Walmart pharmacy does carry
many veterinary meds but unfortunately they don't yet carry the one my
cat needs, otherwise the price would probably be like $12 instead of
the $135.00 Wags charges.. from the Vet I had paid over $200.00 and I
had to drive 40 miles round trip to pick it up at the Vet, and a
couple of times when I arrived they didn't have the insulin, they
effed up. That's when I decided to look elsewhere and discovered
Wags. Wags sells a lot of animal products besides meds... I've bought
cat food from Wags too but Walmart had a better price, only Wags
delivers for free, but I go to Walmart anyway. Wags is very good for
people with pets but who don't drive. Oh, a person answers the phone
at Wags 24/7.
