People here don't represent the general public. Most people don't
give a flip if you snap a quick picture of your food or not. I take
pictures of my food all the time and never even get a sideways glance.
I'm not disturbing anyone when I do it, so nobody cares. If they had
the nerve to make noises about it to me, I'd tell them to mind their
own business. I paid for it and I can take a snapshot if I want.
I've learned that servers are proud of what they put on the table.
One example is a restaurant we ate at in Vancouver (dining outside by
the fireplace), enjoyed the entire meal. I forget now if it was the
appetizer or dessert that was so pretty (and tasted as good as it
looked). I commented to hubby that I should have taken a picture of
before we demolished it. The waitress happened to be passing the
table and caught what I said. She stopped and told me the next time
someone ordered one, she'd bring it by so I could take a picture of
it... and she did! That certainly increased her tip.

Avoid cutting yourself when slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them.
