Growing up, it was bacon and tomato (never lettuce) on Wonder-type
bread. I wouldn't do that now. These days I use iceberg lettuce
in lieu of bread, but one of these days I might revisit the squishy
white bread experience. I read that to my wife, and she said, Ewww."
