Dehydration and simply not getting any nutrition from what they were eating because of the constant diarrhea and vomiting. Both became weaker and weaker as the months passed and both suffered catastrophic strokes. My mother was in a nursing home and bed ridden and she was already in a weak condition but he was robust and healthy.
