Wrong time of year for this, but years ago my brother and I used to host an
annual "tropical/reggae" party every spring. The menu featured lots of
fruit; I'd cut a pineapple in half and core it, then cut up the chunks of
fruit and put them in the shells on a bed of ice with chunks of melon,
sliced kiwi, strawberries, etc. We'd have meat, cheese and crackers and
other nibbles and (alcoholic) fruit punch. Reggae music on the stereo.

Everyone who came in the door got "laid" LOL (we bought cheap plastic leis
from a party supply store). Tropical shirts/outfits were required. A
friend built a limbo set-up for us - two tall poles with pegs to support the
limbo rod; we had a limbo contest. I remember one year it was raining so
hard a friend showed up wearing a snorkle and flippers. Good time was had
by all!
