Good observational skills! Short answer: yes.

But. In order to pull the drawer on that (left) side out *entirely*
(e.g to deal with a major spill), I have to pull the drawers on the
right side out and slide the left drawer over to get it out the right-side
door. Not a big deal.

It was either live with that or knock down that wall and reconfigure the
bathroom behind it, which was more work than we wanted.

We're very happy with the FD fridge and it's bottom freezer, especially
since that sucker puts out an enormous amount of ice :-)
