You sound as stupid as ever. He is tasting products on the market to determine which has the better tasting/texture/and value. He wouldn't do it if he didn't want to but you make it sound like he is be forced to do this. And if you paid attention the audience also tasted the same products and gave their opinion which was the better of the choices offered.
