One of my relatives had a registry like that. She married a Dr. I can't
remember what I gave her. I was young at the time. Like maybe 22 so I
didn't have much money. Most likely I got her some dish towels or pot
holders or something. Although we were close in age, she never made a point
of being home when we went to visit and never returned a response when she
was living in the area and I proposed meeting her for lunch. So even though
she was a relative, I felt no obligation to buy a lavish gift.
