Default I bought a Refrigerator Today

Thanks everyone for all your helpful posts. We stopped at Home Depot
today and I looked at the Samsung fridges. Then I looked at a
Whirlpool. I liked the Whirlpool much better.

Had a chat with the saleslady, who was very knowledgeable and had many
certificates of merit by her desk, plus one for quite a few years of
working in that department at Home Depot.

I told her that my on line research had taken me to Samsung and
Whirlpool as the ones in my price range that had good reviews. I asked
her opinion and she favored the Whirlpool. She said that parts are more
easily available and service is better. I did see negative comments
about Samsung's service on line.

We bought a beautiful Whirlpool with lots of storage space and an ice
maker in the freezer. No more in the door junk to break itself or my
knee caps!

Just to make sure nothing breaks for 5 years we got a service contract
as well. It will be the best money I ever wasted as it will avert the
evil eye.

HD will deliver and set up the new one on May 1. I put the old one on
Craig's List for a good price, but if it doesn't sell by May 1, we'll
let HD take it away for free.

I feel we paid a very fair price for the Whirlpool. There was a
manufacturers discount and then another discount from HD on top of that.
Can't wait for the Whirlpool to come.
