Noone bashes the US.
Read the recipe.
They want you to brown the meat, and then again to fry it for 5 minutes.
That might be Beef Stroganoff, but never Boeuf Stroganoff.
Have you ever tried to brown and then slice a bit of beef filet ?
That's why I pointed out the difference ...
And YES, spelling matters.
