My KitchenAid food processor does a marvelous job of grinding parmesan cheese. You do have to cut it into cubes first and 1 inch size is about right. Put the cubes in the processor with the chopping blade attached, turn it on, no pulsing, and let it do it's thing. The cheese will be finely 'grated.'
