To be fair, my 1987 microwave doesn't have a "popcorn button". But this
doesn't sound like something that should be cooked in a microwave,
anyway. Not if you have to add even a little oil.

I suspect she's using some bowl/gadget she bought for making popcorn in
the microwave. But not everything is intended microwave cooking. We
have no idea what the directions actually said. It's all so convoluted.
