Hmmm... Perhaps sausage is more commonly eaten in some places versus
others. I don't hear of too many people eating it here. Perhaps once or
twice a year I will make kielbasa or Polish sausage, mainly because I find a
good sale. Perhaps Bratwurst once a year. Husband is really the only person
who eats this stuff and I don't think they are his favorite foods. A little
more often I will do breakfast type sausages only because they are cheap and
quick to fix.
I keep hearing and seeing of that sausage ball recipe that has Bisquick in
it. Supposed to be a great party food but I've never been to a party where
they served it.
I did go to parties in CA where they commonly served a cheese dip of Rotel,
Velveeta and sausage but I'm not sure what kind of sausage. It was okay but
I think it would have been better with either no meat or ground beef.
Sausage is just so fatty. I can only eat it once in a while and in small
quantities.
I don't remember having sausage too often when I was growing up. I think we
had bacon more often than sausage and we didn't have that too often either.
