Really, does your computer not have a search engine? You couldn't have
looked this up on your own?

We also had beef stew. It was made out of the trimmings from a beef
tenderloin, so it was *really* good. (We buy whole tenderloins a
couple times a year when they are on special, and cut them into
steaks. The stuff trimmed off is used for stew or stir-fry.) Sliced
carrots and cubed potatoes in the stew. No dumplings, but I had a
piece of bread and gravy, which was just about as good.

It's so hot here that beef stew would seem a strange thing to be
cooking, but I just had a hysterectomy a couple of weeks ago, and my
appetite has been trashed. It's just starting to come back a bit. Beef
stew is what I fancied, so that's what my husband made for me.
