If I wanted an ice maker I would buy a separate unit
Too much trouble plumbing the reefer for water.
Gotta undo the water supply to move the reefer.
If you need an automatic ice maker you need
a lot of ice and you are wasting storage in your freezer.
Look for reliability. I cannot help you there.
My refrigerator blows the defroster heater element
every few years, but is otherwise good. I watched
the repairman change the heater when it first blew
under warranty.
