Walnut Lace Cookies
Mix

1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda

Cream the dry ingredients with

1/4 cup butter

Run

1 cup walnut

through the robot coupe until a coarse meal is obtained.

Beat together

1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

then thoroughly mix all.

Drop onto a baking sheet and bake at 375 deg F for 9 to
12 minutes. These can go from under done to over done
in a New York minute. Perfection is worth striving for.
The result is thin and can be held up to the light
where it looks like lace. The desired texture is
absolute crispness.

Parchment paper is recommended.
