I've only had one experience with ovens above the stove (in an
apartment) and I absolutely LOVED them. Wish that type of stove was
still being made. The other feature I liked was the burners
(electric) being in a row and they could be pushed back into the unit
(out of sight) when not in use. It was similar to this one
