I have a microwave, and it is used mainly for the following:

- making oatmeal for breakfast
- re-heating leftovers
- defrosting meat

My set of pots has a steamer, and I use that just about every day.
It's quite big, so I can put in 3-4 different types of vegetables to
steam at the same time.

I use my smallest pans for boiled eggs. I boil eggs at least three
times a week. Also, my husband will warm up soup in the small pan.
