Chebe thin crust pizza
I don't know if I have posted anything about this before. But since
I went gluten free a while back, I discoveed Chebe bread mix.
Basically the mix is just tapioca flour, salt and baking powder, and
the "original" mix has milk powder in it. There are some variaties
like pizza mix and bread stick mix and foccaccia mix but I just use
the 'regular' one to do any and all of those variations.
You can use cheese as the recipe calls for or you can leave it out or
vary the kind of cheese you use.
I love to use it for making gluten free pizza dough. I'm not fond of
herbs IN my pizza dough so I don't use the Chebe dough mix because it
has herbs in it.
I saw the thread about thin crust pizza and I've been VERY pleased
with making a thin crust pizza with the Chebe mix. Just make it
according to box directins, and press it out on parchment paper to the
size pizza you want. The larger the pizza, the thinner the dough.
Pre bake it, add toppings and finish baking it.
Makes a really tasty pizza with a crust that holds up and is
delicious.
Of course you can do the same thing with using bulk tapioca flour but
I buy the mixes by the case through Amazon and sometimes get them on
sale !
