Hey, don't drag America into this! This is a Julie-ism. We're talking
to someone who bought threw out peppercorns (probably improperly stored)
based on a random expiration date. She bought pepper at Costco,
complained about it, later said it was okay and blamed it on old
peppercorns left in the grinder (which at first she apparently liked,
until she replaced them). Don't try to figure this out. You'll give
yourself a headache.
