I've got 2 eMachines that I bought 10 years ago. All the guts and OS
have been replaced. When I replaced the motherboard, the OS license was
not transferable. That was a bummer. The cases are the only thing left
over from the original machines.

You might want to remove any passwords on the users accounts which will
make transferring and accessing data on the drive easier.

My understanding is that the credit is applied to items on this site
which sells refurbished and closeout items.
