Yes he should know what he should eat. But does he care? No. So the best
I can do is try to control what I bring into this house. The less
complaining he does while he is here the better.
Tonight he didn't wait for us to come home and ate something that wasn't the
best. It was whole wheat pasta in Alfredo sauce with vegetables and that
part was likely okay. But it had some cheese sausage in it make of pork.
When I bought it I didn't realize that he was going to have a flare. He had
not complained of any pain and frankly I sort of forgot about it. But he
had been eating huge amounts of beef. I bought 5 pounds of beef roast.
Angela had a normal portion. About 3 oz. I had only 2-3 bites with my
meal. We ate this for 2 days. I had intended there to be food enough for a
3rd meal but mostly all that was left was the vegetables and one small piece
of meat. Which he wound up eating. We have both warned him repeatedly but
he just does not seem to care.
We got stuck at the school tonight. As usual they did something stupid.
The student store was to be open from noon until 7:00. There was a BBQ from
6:00 to 7:00 which we did not want to go to. But they were giving out the
schedules during the BBQ. We did go earlier in the day and took care of the
rest of what we needed to do. But the schedules were not available then.
We had to go back. Because I knew that parking would be a nightmare and
because I can't walk far, we got back there early and had to wait.
And then I watched in horror as cars parked right behind me. This was not
the first time this happened at that school. I could not get out easily. I
had to inch my way out. And then I was still stuck because a line of cars
were coming at me. They couldn't all back up and I couldn't possibly have
backed all the way down the row I was in because so many cars were parked
wrong and it was on a curve. I know for sure I would have hit something
trying to back that whole way out.
So we didn't get home till just a little while ago. And even though I did
call him and tell him that I would make dinner when we got home, he just
went ahead and ate the pasta. That's what he does. If I don't have a meal
ready when he wants to eat, he will just eat whatever. Not a serving of
baby carrots or a piece cheese or something to tide him over. He wants
instant gratification. Grrrr...
