The standard is 3 ounces of meat and 2 ounces of cheese per person.
Of course the type of people attending the event plays a large role.
For a function that's attended by only women you could cut it down to
2 ounces of meat per person. If it's all men, bump it up to about 4
1/2 ounces per person.
