I got the cheapest smartphone ever, only $29.95 at Walmart. It's an
LG501C and has even more stuff than I ever dreamed of. I bought it
merely to trade cellphone pictures to my daughter (MMS), but
discovered I can also access the internet, if necessary. It also has
a real qwerty keyboard. Amazing!

One thing to know, Susan. What you can get from tracfone is dependent
on your location. I'm waaay out in the CO boonies, so only certain
low end models are available in this area. I can't get the better
models available If I lived in, say, Denver. It seems to be an area
code thing. I could buy a more featured phone if I purchased it in
Denver and settled for a Denver area code. OTOH, I can't imagine
wanting more features than this cheapo LG model has. Pictures, txt
msg, www access, qwerty keyboard, waaay more than I'll ever use.
Plus, I got my 5 hr time xfered, no problem. Fees are more than
reasonable. Reg voice phone and internet connection is a straight
min-per-min fee. Txt msgs are only 1/3 min for the entire msg (120
characters). Lastly, I think this model automatically qualifies me
for dbl-time mins, though I'm not real sure how that works. We'll
see. I more than happy, as I thought I was gonna hafta spend 2X-3X as
much for this level of phone.
