Plus shipping, and that can get expensive. I can get decent ginger root
for about a buck a pound. It's not that much work to peel, slice and
boil. Normally, I would not even think of buying itnow that I know how
to make it... but... this morning I was in the grocery store and
happened to see some in the bulk section for $1.99 per 100 grams.... so
about $9 per pound. I bought a small amount just to try it. It tastes
just like the stuff I make myself a little more than a dollar a pound.
