Congratulations! My Cuisinart is old enough for you to have seen it on
my counter, and still going strong.

Both Julia Child and Marc Bittman prefer the steel blade for kneading
dough. I used the plastic one once and learned that, if it was no
worse, it certainly is no better. (It might be easier to clean.) I
recently added a fine grater disk, the kind with raised teeth but no
holes. It's good for Parmesan and Romano. Enjoy!
