Us too. Mostly raised on a chicken/turkey ranch, lots of drop craws with the
young turkeys, so we used them as fryers, all of them...except as you say,
the feathers. Back in those days the folks would let us kids have a few
turkeys to clean and sell at Thanksgiving. Course, you couldn't do that now,
but we made some spending money that way. I hated all that candling,
milking, sheep shearing and stuff as a kid, but it seems nice in nostalgia.
