When my daughter was 6 months old my parents stopped at a Shoney's on
their way home from Florida. they filled out a card with their
first grand-daughter's birthday on it.

For 18 years my daughter [in NY] got a postcard 'birthday card' coupon
from the Shoney Bear.

Last I saw, there was one just 3-4 hours away.
