We're at the stage of life where we go out to dinner with friends
instead of having them over. It's easier and nobody cares if it's
home cooking or not. We just want to enjoy each other's company over
a nice meal.

Big emphasis on "*if* they appreciate". Most people can't tell a $6
bottle from a $60 bottle.
