Pineapple processing tip
I had just cut up some nice, pink grapefruit into sections and juice,
so the curved, serrated grapefruit knife was already out. Next, a
pineapple faced me, which I'd been avoiding for 3 days. (Pineapple
was on sale for 2.99, so couldn't resist.)
After it'd been quartered into 'boats' and the hard core removed, I
sliced the quarters crosswise, (port to starboard), and lastly tried
the grapefruit knife. It did a dandy job of separating the meat from
that hard rind. I was moving the knife away from me, and felt a lot
safer than wielding a sharp knife as I used to do.
Hope this helps. Double use, at least, for an infrequently used tool.
