Default Mock Fish happening soon!!

Well......... looking for old paperwork finally paid off. I didn't find
what I was looking for (last name change paperwork, so I can change it
again :-), but I did find an *old* recipe of mine that I last used back in
the late 70's and promptly 'lost', ie, put somewhere for 'safe-keeping'!!

Back then I used to cook to 'wind down' after coming back from
training/deployment o/s with the Army, and the cooking was usually
accompanied by copious amounts of alcohol and lots of loud music. I had
made this "Mock Fish" one day as I remembered it from my childhood, and
had really liked it back then.

Luckily I wrote the ingredients down (normally I was too shitfaced to
care!!) after a whole bunch of people raved about the taste etc., secreted
the recipe into the 'safe place', enjoyed the rest of the night/week, and
forgot where I'd put it. People were asking me (as per usual after one of
my invention nights) for years afterwards to recreate them, and I couldn't
remember what I had used.... had the basics, but just couldn't recreate
the actual taste/item.

It is now back in my possession!!

The reason it was so unusual back then was the fact that I used wholemeal
flour, vege salt, and wheatgerm in the recipe. Not a lot of people had
even heard of those things in the late 70's (especially in Townsville,
where I was based)!!

So....... I'm going to recreate my 70's "Mock Fish" and see how it goes.

Recipe and pics to follow.
