Nope.
'Spose I'm just used to what we know over here.
Another 'nickname' given to the Regiment during Vietnam, but it stuck.....
is Ma Rung.
But as for Chicken Stranglers....... there is a Signals Squadron attached
to the Regiment, 152 Sigs.
They are 'affectionately' known as "Chooks" :-)
