How could ANYONE not understand the positions of the Democratic and
Republican parties?
In general:

DEMS GOP

*pro-legal abortion *anti-legal abortion
*assume the poor need support *assume the poor are lazy
*believe in progressive taxation *believe in a flatter tax or
no income tax
at all
*allied with organized labor *hostile to organized labor
*believe in less privatization *believe in more
privatization
of government services of government services
*pro-social security, Medicare, *anti-social security,
Medicare,
Medicaid, childrens' health care Medicaid, childrens' health
care
*emphasize environmental *de-emphasize environmental
concerns concerns
*accused of being socialists *accused of being fascists
(a huge exaggeration) (a huge exaggeration)
*believe in more separation *believe in less separation
of church and state of church and state
*Keynesian economics *Classical economics

Is that enough? I tried being as objective in my language as
possible, to the point that I wrote something that I disagree with,
that being using the word "huge" for the Republicans as far as fascist
values. Republicans are more fascist than Democrats are Socialist.
It's not like any of this has changed in the past thirty years other
than to become more true. Have you been living under a rock that
entire time?
