A few years ago, I went into the university-sponsored flu shot clinic
and asked the nurse if it was OK if I got the shot because I had a bit
of a cold. No problem! she said. I got the shot and 24 hours later was
into one of the worst bouts of infected sinuses I'd ever had. I was SO
sick.

Nowadays I won't get a flu shot unless I am in the pink of health. They
offer them over the course of several weeks, so that's not a problem.

The one year I skipped the regular flu shot, I got the flu. Not fun.
So I get a shot every year.
