I try to have a bowl of oatmeal or a protein shake for breakfast every
morning (not going all that well, but I'm getting better) I use whey
protein concentrate from Walmart. I just bought a tub of the
strawberry flavored to see if it tastes less weird than the vanilla.

I make a kind of thin smoothie using fresh or frozen fruit, frozen
banana, and lowfat milk or water. Then add a scoop of protein powder
and process it on LOW until it is incorporated. Do not blend it on HI
or (heaven forbid) "Liquefy" or "Frappe", because it will expand and
whip into a nasty slimy meringue.

I had one this morning using rehydrated dried apricots, frozen peach
slices, a half a banana, and the strawberry whey. It wasn't very
good, but it wasn't bad.

Never heard of hemp protein; if I saw it in the store I would guess
that it was just trendy rather than useful. Something Woody Harrelson
would sell to try to confuse hemp with marihuana. (I prefer the old
spelling that matches the unconstitutional 1930's tax law.) But maybe
I'll try it now if it's not too expensive. But I have over 3 pounds
of whey protein to use up first.
