I have a very old GF grill and I've never had a problem with it. It took a
while to learn how to cook on it since it doesn't have a thermostat but it
works well for what I use it for. I've learned to clean it with no
problems. Every time I see posts like yours it makes me not want to upgrade
it. The foodsaver was a different story. My old one was very old and the
new one is hugely better.
