Blender is fine for that recipe. You're just going for texture,
mainly, but you'll probably going to need a little more moisture.
Make it milk.

I'm cleaning out the fridge, freezer, and cabinets as well. Other
than a 3 pound schlong of Columbus salami and some cheese (Yancy's
Fancy - review later) at CostCo, I haven't bought any edible
groceries except bread and 13 boxes of chocolate covered cherries
for 4 weeks. And I'm not cleaning the fridge. It was brand new 3.5
weeks ago.

I'm not feeling the lack of groceries at all yet. When I switched
fridges (twice) I realized I had way too much food. And I still
probably have food I forgot in the neighbors freezers.

Oh, and a near 2-lb bag of Kettle Brand potato chips. Gotta get
those every time I go to CostCo. That week they had BBQ as well as
the usual "lightly salted". I wish they'd bring back the CostCo
sized bags of Buffalo Blue.
