Are you in Hawaii?

Fishbase lists _ruvettus pretiosus_ as one of the species commonly
called walu, but only in Hawaii.

(It also lists a bunch of additional species that might be
called escolar, whereas this seems to be the predominant species
that is called oilfish.)
