We went from no Penzeys to two of them, one way north of Denver, one way
south, probably equidistant from our house. They seem to like to open
in "old town" areas if those and others I have been to (Minnesota,
Conncecticut) are any example. (E.G. From what I have seen, I doubt he
would open in a new, suburban strip mall storefront if he could avoid
it.) Our newer Penzeys opened just a few doors away from a very similar
spice shop in Littleton's old Main Street area.
As far as the staff, they are really WONDERFUL, friendly helpful,
interested in what you are going to use the spice for, not pushy, etc.
It's worth the trip just for the experience.
