I live about forty miles north of Sacramento, and all the Vietnamese
bakeries are on the south side of Sacramento. Due to poor highway planning,
there's no "good" way for me to get there; that's why it takes so long. The
"right" kind of bread for banh mi is made with both rice flour and wheat
flour, and is a bit lighter and less crusty than baguettes.

As it turns out, Lin thought the sausage had gone bad, so she threw it away.
Oh well, I can always make it again.
