Looking on Wikipedia, I found a reference to this
interesting article:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/4775155.stm

In the 1960's, the king crab was introduced to
the Barents Sea by the Soviet Union, and is now
spreading down the Norwegian coast. It is feared
it will eventually populate the sea floor all the
way to Gibralter.

Environmentalists warn about the destruction of
habitat for other marine creatures by these
voracious eaters. Norwegian fishermen complain
about the limited quota. The obvious solution is
to allow the fishermen to catch as many crabs as
they can.
