Most liquid smoke tastes like creosote. There's one brand that's decent.
Better than liquid smoke would be to take some hardwood chips, fold them
into a tightly sealed packet of aluminum foil, poke some small holes in the
top and place them in the bottom of your oven to get real smoke flavor.
