Just because I live in the "south" doesn't mean everything I want to cook or
eat is cooked in the alleged "southern" style. "Southern" is a stereotype.
There are traditions in some areas, sure. But idiotic notions are
perpetuated by FoodTV "chefs" like Paula - gag me with a stick of butter -
Deen. Sorry, but I don't use a ton of butter in my food. My food is not
deep fried. The vegetables aren't cooked to mush. And not everything is
slathered with ketchup or hot sauce or BBQ'd , either. Apparently sf is
reading Google and taking it as gospel. (Oh wait, her daughter works for
Google, therefore it *must* be gospel. Heh.)
