Oh, no. My sister and I did this in the back pasture, and my parents didn't
know about it. They would have been horrified! And we soon learned not to
do it again.

I do have a picture of myself when I was in high school. It was one of my
mother's favorite pictures, and it was in her room at the nursing home.
People walking by would do a double-take and then stare when they realized
that I was riding without a saddle or bridle. Of course, I had no control
over the horse like that, so I was literally " just along for the ride." He
was a wonderful horse.
