| We've known that about the States for a long time.
|
| But over here, we're a bit more about 'personal responsibility'.
|
| We've had a few cases where some numbnuts has screwed up and tried to sue
| someone else over it, but thank heavens, it's always been thrown out in
| the end.
|
| One involved an idiot who was drunk and dived off a back fence into a
| canal. He hit the bottom, broke his neck and ended up in a wheelchair. He
| tried to sue the home owners for not having signs on their fence that
| basically said "If you get drunk and dive off here, you may hurt
| yourself"!!
|
| It got thrown out. BTW, the (adult) homeowners weren't at home at the time
| (o/s on business), he was there partying on with some teenagers.
|
| The other was some numbnuts who got a skinful at a pub and was walkking
| home and staggered out into the traffic and was hit. He tried to sue the
| pub. He got what he rightfully deserved......... nothing!!
|
|
| No doubt both those numbnuts have watched 'Merican TV shows where everyone
| sues everyone else for vast sums of money.
|
|
| Maybe it's time the US started preaching 'personal responsibility' rather
| than laying wholesale blame up the line
........
Yup, we sure are impressed with the Moral Certaintude of you guys in
Australia. Thanks for reminding all of us Americans how superior you
are in this amongst all other ways. Why, to celebrate, don't you print
out your above comments on the printer, then put the paper in the
bottom of a parrot cage.
