I've never heard of a dry stew. Hash is not defined by dimension. Loose or
patty has no meaning in the context of hash. Stew is defined (In my
vocabulary)
by meat and vegetables braised in a sauce. At my house it's always a thick
brown sauce. Hash is ground or chopped meat mixed with potatoes and what-
ever else is handy, but never liquid.
