We are buying a two family house. I just bought a new stove to replace
the absolutely ancient stove that is in place now. I would love to get a
new fridge too. The one we have is serviceable, but I'd like to put it
in the basement for extra storage and get a new one.

MY problem is that the fridge is in an alcove which a previous tenant
built and I am limited to 30 inches in width - which is not a lot of space.

My preference is for the type you described but I don't think I am going
to find one that fits my space. I may have to move the fridge and turn
the alcove into storage.

What I really want is an ice maker! The plumber is coming on Tuesday to
see if it can be done easily.
