<http://news.individual.net/> is probably the best maintained newsserver
of them all and, on top of that, it filters out much of the spam. You
will need a newsreader, too. Take a look around
<http://www.newsreaders.com/win/clients.html> since your platform is
Windows. Dialog (which I use whenever I am unfortunate enough to have
to use a Windows machine), Gravity, Xnews, and Agent are good enough
newsreaders, considering the platform. To do yourself and others a
favour, consider using a newsreader with a GNKSA Seal of Approval:
