Peeling carrots is done only for aesthetic purposes. I prefer my carrots
peeled, but my late grandmother never peeled carrots and my mom doesn't
either. Its purely a matter of personal preference. Either way though,
you should, of course, rinse the carrots off under running water before
using them.
