If you mean a "bullet" smoker with water pan ... typically more efficient,
easier to maintain temperature, and assuming it's a Weber Smokey Mountain
even more so on both counts.

Horizontal offset smokers offer more space and more opportunity to bond with
your equipment while the Weber Smokey Mountain owners are sleeping. Also
they are more manly, since apparently it's manly to not sleep.
